Bendigo Health is centrally located in the heart of Bendigo and offers an array of affordable accommodation properties servicing our doctors, patients and students.
The Accommodation supplied by Bendigo Health is self-contained with all the mod cons of being at home. Availability of the Bendigo Health owned accommodation is limited due to the high demands and you may be referred to contact alternative private accommodation in Bendigo. A list of alternative accommodation providers in the local area is available on the Bendigo Tourism website via the link above.
Bendigo Health’s doctors’ accommodation is located at our Atkins Street property with a mixture of 120 Units in one (96) and two (24) bedroom variations. All the rooms are self-contained, comfortable and have Wi-Fi access.
Bendigo Health patient accommodation has 34 self-contained accommodation units available to a limited number of Bendigo Health clients to support cancer treatment, such as radiotherapy and oncology. A medical referral is required before you are offered this accommodation.
You may be eligible for travel and accommodation assistance if you are traveling a significant distance from where you have your specialist medical treatment. The programs for Victorian residents is called the Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme (VPTAS) and for NSW residents it is called the Isolated Patient Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS). Bendigo Health attempts to keep the costs of the accommodation low for those receiving treatment.
We also have eight units supporting our students during their placement at Bendigo Health. These units are located closely to the hospital precinct and are self-contained one (four) and two (four) bedroom units.
